    Hello gemeente.

    In Kolgrafarfjörður on Snæfellsnes there is now a feast going on.

    Hundreds of thousends of tons of herring is holding up in the

    fiord, and of course killer whales and birds, sea eagles and

    seagulls have a feast, see the RUV news about it:

    In desember there were a disaster in that same fiord when about

    300,000. tons of herring died instantly because of lack of oxygen in the water,

    a panic came in, and thousends of tons of herring swam on land or

    choked in the water, the beaches were covered with herring which

    instantly froze and was picked up by birds or farmers who came to

    collect the herring for their animals, sheeps and horses.
